Levocetirizine Hydrochloride, Ambroxol, Phenylephrine & Paracetamol Tablets- This medicine comes with the branding of ELZIK and a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levocetirizine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine, which relieves common cold symptoms. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening mucus in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Paracetamol is analgesic and antipyretic that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as ‘prostaglandins’.
